I am currently in my second + final year of grad school, where I will complete my Master of Mass Communication degree in May 2019. My studies have lead me to specialize in Public Relations.
I currently serve the Public Relations Student Society of America (ASU PRSSA) as Director of Marketing for the 2018-2019 school year. I could not be more thrilled to contribute to a student organization which has encouraged me to excel in my professional career. You can learn more about the national chapter here.
During the Spring 2018 semester, I dedicated my time as the Social Media Manager for CRONKITE RUNDOWN – a news shows produced by Cronkite graduate students which focused on local news, entertainment, and sports. Members of my graduate cohort created this student organization to gain additional experience working in Cronkite’s state-of-the-art facilities. We’ve had so much fun producing, writing, filming, and editing our own show!
Since beginning my master’s program, I have worked for the Cronkite School as a Teaching Assistant. I worked with professors to assist with research, grading, and editing for a number of undergraduate courses.
I gained hands-on professional experience as the PR & Social Media Intern with Small Giants, where I curated social media content, assisted with website development, and wrote several blog posts for clients. I am incredibly grateful for the entire team at Small Giants who took the time to share their talents + passion for the industry with me.
In addition to my full-time studies, I am currently working with destination marketing organization Visit Phoenix as their PR & Media Relations Intern. My duties include documenting article clippings, maintaining media lists, developing press releases, and building relationships with travel journalists. As a born-and-raised Phoenix local, my love for this city runs strong. I greatly enjoy working in the travel industry to promote my hometown!

When I’m not writing or practicing on my yoga mat, you’ll find me hiking the desert trails throughout the Valley. I also spend as much time as I can with my parent’s new addition to the family: a smart, silly, and soulful Golden-doodle named Maggie.
